Code execution via unrestricted historical document scripts
Published Jun 29, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Incorrect privilege assignment in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code through old revisions. When an upgrade replaces a vulnerable document, XWiki retains earlier versions and renders a revision selected by the rev parameter without restricting its script macros. View rights and an installation upgraded from vulnerable content are required; fresh installations and current-revision-only content are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
