Stored XSS via unescaped form-builder settings
Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Stored XSS in Bit Apps Bit Form before 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted form-builder settings. The builder accepts payloads in setting inputs such as field labels and later renders the saved values without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and execution occurs when a user loads the affected saved content.
