Browser script execution via unsanitized path reflection
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
Reflected XSS in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROX before 2.16.0 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript by inducing a malicious-link visit. The web interface reflects a malformed path value into its invalid-path error response without sanitization. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted link, after which script runs in that user's browser context and can read or alter session-accessible data.
