Stored script execution via unsanitized booking fields
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Nov 11, 2025
Stored XSS in PHPGurukul Hostel Management System 2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through booking fields. The Book Hostel form stores crafted guardian and address values, and the room-details page renders them as executable markup instead of neutralizing them. A valid user login and a visitor opening the stored room details are required; script execution is confined to the visitor's browser context.
