Server crash via crafted SQL update sequence
Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Dec 2, 2024
Denial of service in MonetDB Server 11.45.17 and 11.46.0 allows remote attackers to crash the server through crafted SQL statements. The published reproducer creates and mutates a table, starts a transaction, and performs two updates; cs_bind_ubat crashes instead of returning an SQL error. The trigger requires an SQL connection, and the demonstrated sequence ran over ODBC against an in-memory database; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
