Server crash via transactional column churn
Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Dec 2, 2024
Denial of service in MonetDB Server 11.45.17 and 11.46.0 allows remote attackers to crash the server via crafted SQL statements. During COMMIT, log_create_delta crashes after a transaction adds and drops the same column; the precise invalid operation is undisclosed. Reachability requires SQL access and permission to create and alter a table, and the resulting fault interrupts the database service.
