Authenticated service interruption via unbounded GET processing
Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Dec 2, 2024
Denial of service in TP-Link TL-WR940N V2/V4/V6, TL-WR841N V8/V10, and TL-WR941ND V5 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The /userRpm/LocalManageControlRpm endpoint processes a crafted GET request without limiting resource allocation, exhausting service resources. Valid management credentials and network access are required; the reported consequence is an availability loss with no data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
