Unauthenticated browser script execution via unencoded cashier name
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in POS Codekop 2.0 allows remote attackers to execute browser scripts through the nm_member query parameter. The unauthenticated print.php endpoint writes nm_member directly into the cashier paragraph without HTML encoding or sanitization. A victim must load a crafted URL; successful exploitation runs script in the application's browser origin and permits access to or modification of page data within that session.
