Device compromise via undocumented authenticated test mode
Published Apr 16, 2026 · Updated Apr 16, 2026
Hidden functionality in all Festo MSE6-C2M, D2M, and E2M versions allows remote authenticated users to compromise device data and operation. The devices expose an authenticated test mode and additional remote functions whose supported behavior and security implications are only partly documented. Low-privileged credentials and network access to an inadequately isolated industrial network are required; successful use can disclose or alter data and disrupt operation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
