User account deletion via unprotected GET request
Published Jul 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 13, 2024
CSRF in Online Examination System 1.0 allows remote attackers to delete user accounts by inducing an authenticated administrator request. The update.php deletion handler accepts a demail value in a state-changing GET request and performs the deletion without a CSRF token or origin check. An administrator must remain authenticated and open attacker-controlled content; successful exploitation deletes the chosen account from the database.
