Stored XSS via unsanitized site announcements
Published Jul 3, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in mlogclub bbs-go 3.5.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The /api/admin/sys-config/save endpoint stores siteNotification without HTML sanitization, and the frontend renders the announcement for every visitor. Administrator access is required to save the payload; viewing the public site then executes it and can expose browser-held data such as cookies.
