Authenticated script execution via unescaped article comments
Published Jul 3, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in mlogclub bbs-go 3.5.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through article comments. The administrative comment controller returns comment.Content without HTML encoding, so a stored img onerror payload becomes executable markup. A registered account can plant the payload, but an administrator must view the affected comment; execution can expose the administrator's cookies.
