Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Stored XSS in XOOPS CMS 2.5.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through an Image Manager category name. The Image Manager accepts script markup in the category name and later renders that stored value in the multiupload view without neutralizing it. Administrative access is required to create the category, and JavaScript runs in a user's browser when the category name is hovered.
