Stored script execution via unsanitized user names
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Lost and Found Information System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a viewer's browser. The Create User page accepts active content in the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields, then renders the saved values without neutralization. Exploitation requires another user to view the malicious name content, and execution remains limited to that viewer's browser context.
