Account enumeration via distinct password recovery responses
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
User enumeration in PHPJabbers Class Scheduling System 1.0 allows remote attackers to identify valid accounts through password recovery. The Forgot Password workflow returns a distinct nonexistence message for an unrecognized email address instead of issuing a uniform response. No authentication or user interaction is required; the disclosed account validity enables targeted password guessing but does not itself expose credentials.
