Browser script execution via unescaped theme parameter
Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Reflected XSS in PHPJabbers Appointment Scheduler 3.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted theme value. The preview.php endpoint returns the theme parameter into the generated page without neutralizing injected quote and tag delimiters, as demonstrated by a script-bearing value. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted preview URL; injected script runs in that page's origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
