Local code execution through custom XAML import
Published Oct 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Path traversal in Hex-Dragon Plain Craft Launcher 2 Alpha 1.3.9 allows local users to execute code via a crafted custom XAML file. The public proof of concept supplies Custom.xaml for import and invokes the launcher's Run Command action, but no public code analysis identifies the path-validation error. Exploitation requires local access, import, and deliberate activation of the custom page; successful use executes code in the launcher's user context and exposes accessible files.
