CVE-2023-3612Network attack vector

Script execution and phishing via unprotected WebView access

Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Exposed WebView access in Govee Home 5.7.03 before 5.8.01 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript or display phishing content. The unprotected app interface lets any application on the device open the WebView with an attacker-supplied URL, which loads attacker-controlled content in its context. Exploitation requires another application on the same device and user interaction; consequences are bounded to WebView-context script execution or theft of data entered into phishing content.
