CVE-2023-36052Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via unredacted command output

Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2025

Information disclosure in Microsoft Azure CLI before 2.53.1 allows remote attackers to read credentials from exposed CI/CD logs. App Service-family update commands returned application-setting values, including secrets, in normal command output instead of redacting them. Exposure requires authenticated automation to run an affected command and publish its output where an unauthorized party can access the log.
