Denial of service in Microsoft ASP.NET Core 8.0 RC2 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt IIS-hosted .NET applications. Microsoft identifies ASP.NET IIS request handling as the locus but does not disclose the faulty operation applied to crafted requests. Exploitation requires no authentication, but only applications hosted in IIS are exposed; Kestrel-hosted applications are unaffected.
