Privileged command execution via CLI injection
Published Jul 5, 2023 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Command injection in the ArubaOS CLI allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as a privileged OS user. HPE identifies the locus only as the command-line interface and has not disclosed the affected CLI command, input field, or unsafe command construction. Exploitation requires high-privilege network access to the CLI; injected commands can read or alter device data and interrupt device operation.
