CVE-2023-35971

Browser script execution via stored interface input

Published Jul 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024

Stored XSS in the ArubaOS web management interface allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute script code in an authorized user's browser. HPE has not disclosed the affected request field or the missing output-encoding operation that causes attacker input to be stored and rendered by the interface. Exploitation requires an authorized user to view the poisoned interface content, and script execution is confined to that interface's browser context.
