Improper access control in IBM Aspera Faspex 5.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass configured IP restrictions. The login access-control path fails to enforce the configured client-IP policy, although IBM has not disclosed the exact faulty check or request pattern. Exposure requires IP-based restrictions to be configured, and the bypass admits requests from addresses that the policy was intended to block.
