CVE-2023-35895Network attack vector

Code execution via unchecked JNDI argument

Published Dec 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

JNDI injection in IBM Informix JDBC Driver 4.10.x and 4.50.x allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The com.informix.jdbcx.IfxConnectionPoolManager constructor passes an unchecked argument into JNDI while creating a connection pool manager. An application must expose attacker control over that API argument; successful exploitation runs commands with the hosting Java process's privileges.
