CVE-2023-35870Network attack vector

Authenticated template tampering via intercepted save requests

Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 29, 2024

Improper access control in SAP S/4HANA S4CORE 104 through 107 allows remote authenticated users to alter or delete journal templates. The Manage Journal Entry Template save path accepts an intercepted, modified request without enforcing the intended permissions on the targeted template. A user able to submit a captured authenticated save request can read or change template data and delete a standard template, temporarily interrupting its availability.
