Denial of service via malformed API responses
Published Dec 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper exceptional-condition handling in Bosch BT software allows man-in-the-middle attackers to cause a denial of service. Affected API clients process malformed answer packets from a replacement API server without safely handling the resulting exceptional condition. The attacker must replace an existing API server through a network-positioned interception, and the reported consequence is limited to service interruption.
