Unauthorized Board access via unrevoked public links
Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Mattermost before 7.8.7, 7.9.5, or 7.10.3 allows remote attackers to view previously shared public Boards. Disabling public sharing stops new links but does not revoke previously issued board tokens, so their read-only URLs remain authorized. Exploitation requires possession of a previously shared link; it exposes board contents but does not permit editing.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=7.10.2
