Path traversal in Suricata before 6.0.13 allows attackers controlling an external rule source to write files outside the dataset directory. SetupSavePath accepts absolute dataset filenames and parent-directory components from save or state rules without confining the resolved path. Exploitation requires control of a loaded rule source and permits overwriting any file writable by the Suricata process.
