Unauthenticated file read via download path traversal
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 11, 2024
Path traversal in NocoDB 0.106.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the /download route. The fileRead handler joins an unvalidated URL path segment to the nc/uploads base and returns the resulting file without rejecting traversal sequences. No authentication or user interaction is required; encoded parent-directory segments can escape the upload directory and disclose configuration, source code, or other readable files.
