Wi-Fi credential disclosure via cleartext configuration flow
Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Information disclosure in SolaX Pocket WiFi 3 through 3.001.02 allows physically proximate attackers to obtain the configured Wi-Fi PSK. The setup and reconfiguration flow exposes the device's complete network configuration in cleartext instead of protecting the submitted Wi-Fi credentials. Exploitation requires RF proximity during one of those configuration operations, and the recovered PSK grants access to the target Wi-Fi network.
