Data modification via arbitrary TypeConverter conversion
Published Apr 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
Type conversion in DevExpress before 23.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to modify application data through crafted serialized input. The serialized-data conversion path accepts an attacker-selected TypeConverter and invokes it without adequately restricting the target type or conversion value. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and application-specific serialized input, and the published impact is limited to data modification.
