Report data tampering via unprotected deserialization
Published Apr 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
Unsafe deserialization in affected DevExpress XtraReport releases allows remote authenticated users to alter report data via ASP.NET Web Forms. The report-control backend fails to protect serialized XtraReport state received in a well-formed request; DevExpress has not disclosed the omitted safeguard. Reachability requires an authenticated application user and a specially constructed request; published evidence supports report-data modification, not disclosure or service interruption.
