Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized REST parameters
Published Jun 17, 2023 · Updated Dec 17, 2024
SQL injection in SugarCRM 12.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data through its REST API. The /Forecasts/metrics endpoint places the metrics parameter into a SQL query, while /Notes/{recordID}/link/history does the same with placeholder_fields, without proper sanitization. Regular user privileges suffice for in-band extraction of sensitive database records.
