Buffer overflow in Extreme Networks IQ Engine before 10.6r1 allows remote attackers to execute code through the CAPWAP service. The CAPWAP implementation copies attacker-controlled protocol data without adequate bounds enforcement, overflowing a buffer; Extreme Networks has not named the affected function or message field. Exploitation requires reachability to an access point's internal management interface or subnet and grants elevated privileges on the device.
