SYSTEM code execution via SNMP sysLocation script injection
Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Siemens SINEMA Server V14 allows remote attackers controlling a monitored device to execute code as SYSTEM. The SNMP sysLocation OID processing path inadequately validates device-supplied data, enabling arbitrary script injection. Exploitation requires control of a monitored device and a user to view the malicious page or file; the resulting code runs as SYSTEM on the server.
