Administrator creation via unprotected forged request
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in HadSky 7.11.8 allows remote attackers to create an administrator account through a crafted request. The User Handler's administrator-add endpoint accepts a cross-origin POST as an authenticated action without effective CSRF-token protection. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content, after which the new account receives administrator privileges.
