CVE-2023-35777Network attack vector

Private event disclosure via unchecked iCal export

Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Missing authorization in The Events Calendar 6.1.2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read private event content via iCal exports. The get_ical_output_for_an_event() method serializes event titles and bodies into an iCal response without first checking whether the requester may view the event. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed data is limited to content stored in arbitrary private events.
