CVE-2023-3577Network attack vector

Limited blind SSRF via trusted-host exemption

Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024

SSRF in Mattermost interactive dialogs allows remote authenticated users to probe localhost and intranet services through server-originated requests. DoActionRequest treated localhost and 127.0.0.1 plugin URLs as the configured site host, attached the session bearer token, and used an internal-capable HTTP client. A logged-in user must invoke a crafted interactive action; effects are limited to blind reachability and limited disclosure from internal endpoints.
