Unauthenticated server termination via rmt-Shutdown RPC
Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Nov 11, 2024
Denial of service in Perforce Helix Core before 2023.2 allows remote attackers to terminate the server via an rmt-Shutdown RPC request. The rmt-Shutdown handler accepts the required remote username without authenticating credentials and then terminates the server process. No credentials are required; any host that can reach the service can interrupt version-control and dependent Swarm operations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
