Adjacent-network root code execution via DDP overflow
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DAP-2622 firmware 1.00 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code as root. The DDP Set AG Profile handler copies an oversized authentication-password value into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. Exploitation requires unauthenticated adjacent-network access and grants control in the device's root context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
