Uninitialized pointer access in XE file parsing in Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt 12 beta build 1204.59 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted XE file. The XE parser accesses memory through a pointer that was not initialized, enabling code execution in the current process. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open the malicious file, and the resulting code runs with that process's privileges.
