CVE-2023-3571Network attack vector

Administrative command execution via certificate-operation POST

Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2024

OS command injection in Phoenix Contact WP 6xxx web panels before 4.0.10 allows remote authenticated users to gain full device access. A certificate-operations HTTP POST passes attacker-controlled input to an OS command without neutralizing command syntax. Low-privilege web-service access is required; successful exploitation executes arbitrary commands with administrative privileges.
