Sensitive information disclosure via cleartext SD-card storage
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Cleartext storage in SICK AG ICR890-4 firmware before 2.5.0 allows physically proximate attackers to read sensitive data from the SD card. The firmware writes sensitive information to removable SD-card storage without encryption, leaving the data readable when the card is accessed. Physical access to the device or its SD card is required, and the reported consequence is confidentiality loss without data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
