Local information disclosure via uninitialized MTP property data
Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13 Framework allows local users to disclose memory through a crafted MTP interaction. MtpPropertyValue in MtpProperty.h leaves property data uninitialized, causing property handling to read outside the valid initialized region. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction; the reported consequence is information disclosure without code execution or data modification.
