CVE-2023-35673Public exploit

Proximal code execution via GATT allocation overflow

Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Integer overflow in Bluetooth GATT on Google Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code via crafted EATT traffic. In build_read_multi_rsp, an attacker-controlled EATT transmit MTU overflows a 16-bit allocation-length calculation, so memcpy writes an attribute value beyond the undersized heap buffer. The flaw is reachable before Bluetooth pairing and requires no user interaction; successful exploitation runs code with the Bluetooth service's privileges.
