Privilege escalation in Android Bluetooth on Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13 allows local users to gain elevated access via AVRCP message handling. The bta_av_rc_msg function passes a null browse packet to bta_av_rc_free_browse_msg instead of checking the opcode and packet pointer before dispatch. Google's patch analysis states that this path terminates the Bluetooth process rather than using freed memory; exploitation requires no user interaction.
