Remote memory disclosure via unchecked TCP SACK option
Published Oct 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in the Android Pixel modem allows remote attackers to disclose memory through a crafted TCP SACK option. ProfSixDecomTcpSACKoption in RohcPacketCommon.cpp reads the option without checking that the operation remains within the packet buffer. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction and exposes memory beyond the malformed option during modem packet processing.
