Remote memory disclosure via missing bounds check
Published Oct 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Google Android's Exynos RIL allows remote attackers to disclose memory through crafted baseband data. ProtocolMiscLceIndAdapter::GetConfLevel() in protocolmiscadapter.cpp reads beyond a buffer because it fails to validate a bound before accessing protocol data. Exploitation requires prior compromise of the device's baseband firmware but no user interaction; disclosure is limited to memory reachable from that context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
