CVE-2023-3548Network attack vector

Unauthenticated account access via unrestricted login attempts

Published Jul 25, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Improper login-attempt restriction in Johnson Controls IQ WiFi 6 before 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to gain account access by brute force. The web interface authentication controls fail to limit repeated password guesses; no narrower request handler or rate-limit implementation is public. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful guessing grants access to the router account, while capabilities available after login remain undisclosed.
