External path control in Microsoft Windows MSHTML allows remote attackers to bypass a security feature through crafted input. Microsoft maps the issue to external control of a file name or path but has not disclosed the affected MSHTML locus or unsafe path operation. No privileges or user interaction are required; successful exploitation can alter data and interrupt service, without reported disclosure.
